Proposal to Increase School Spending in Woodbury: Report
Some new positions are being proposed to be added into next year's budget request.

WOODBURY, CT — Superintendent of Schools Anna Cutaia's proposed a $34.1 million budget plan for fiscal 2018-19, which includes a 2.37 percent spending hike, the Republican-American reports. A big reason for the increase is due to contractual obligations as salaries and benefits rose by $716,616, the Rep-Am reports.
New positions include instructional leaders in science and a districtwide math and science instructional leader. The budget won't be finalized until later in the year.
