From Quassy Amusement & Waterpark: Flag Day honors the adoption of the flag of the United States, which occurred on June 14, 1777, after a resolution of the Second Continental Congress was passed. Flag Day is also a special day for the United States Army - founded June 14, 1775. We thought it was appropriate to honor Flag Day with our Throwback Thursday photo of Old Glory flying over the former Allan Herschell Monster Mouse roller coaster at Quassy Amusement & Waterpark in Middlebury, Conn.
