Quassy Amusement Offers '3-D' 4th of July Fireworks: 2018 Guide
The park will again shoot its fireworks display from barges anchored offshore so everyone attending the park that evening will see them.

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – There will be a blast from the past this July 4th at Quassy Amusement and Waterpark here as “3-D” fireworks light up the sky over Lake Quassapaug.
Special “3-D” fireworks viewing glasses will be sold for $1 on July 4th at Quassy to benefit Healthy Eyes Alliance. The glasses will be on sale starting in the afternoon until they are sold out.
“The novelty of the ‘3-D’ fireworks glasses continues to be strong and this is a fantastic community service event,” noted Quassy’s George Frantzis II. “We’ve been doing the ‘3-D’ fireworks for more than a decade now and thanks to our presenting partners, the response continues to be phenomenal.”

The park will again shoot its 10:15 p.m. fireworks display from barges anchored offshore so everyone attending the park that evening will be able to enjoy them.
Sponsoring the event are: TD Bank, Pepsi-Cola of Bristol, Price Chopper/Market 32 supermarkets and Premier Subaru of Watertown. Media sponsors are Voices newspaper and WTNH/Channel 8.

Parking on July 4th is $10 at Quassy with the park opening at 11 a.m. Quassy Beach and “Splash Away Bay” waterpark will operate until 7 p.m. with the remainder of the park staying open until after the evening fireworks.
In addition, there will be a special evening beach party starting at 8 p.m. with a disc jockey. Admission to the “Blast At The Beach” is $10 with children – accompanied by an adult - under 45 inches free. All paid guests at the beach event will receive ‘3-D’ fireworks glasses and food and beverages will be available for purchase at Splash Away Bay Café. A limited number of tickets will be available for the beach party and may be purchased in advance using promo code BLAST18 on the Quassy website ticket purchase page.
110th Year
. Quassy Amusement Park & Waterpark is in its 110th year and features more than two dozen rides and attractions.
New this year are Category 5 Rapids – Extreme Waterslides and Splash Away Bay Café.
The new waterslides are located in Splash Away Bay waterpark with the café’ overlooking Lake Quassapaug.
Rides include the award-winning Wooden Warrior roller coaster, Reverse Time, Frantic, Music Fest, Yo-Yo super swings, Free Fall ‘N’ Drop Tower, Grand Carousel and more.
Quassy also features a laser maze attraction in its huge arcade building.
The park also has a restaurant, redemption arcade, games, live entertainment and special events.
Season passes are on sale now at the park office and through the Quassy website at www.quassy.com. Company picnics, school fieldtrips and other catered events are also being scheduled through the park office at (203) 758-2913.
Quassy is located at 2132 Middlebury Road, Route 64, in Middlebury, Conn., on the shores of Lake Quassapaug.
