Region 14 Budget Plan Increases Spending By Nearly 4 Percent
The Board of Education will vote on the school superintendent's budget proposal next week.

WOODBURY/BETHLEHEM, CT — Region 14's Superintendent of Schools Joseph Olzacki is seeking approval on a $35.3 million budget proposal for fiscal 19-20, which increases spending by $1.3 million or 3.9 percent, the Republican-American reports.
The school district's top administrator said two-thirds of the overall increase can be attributed to an increase in the debt service payment. A vote on the budget will be made on April 8 by the Board of Education and then taxpayers will vote at a referendum on May 7, the Rep-Am reports.
