Region 14 Budget Referendum Results

More than 1,700 Woodbury and Bethlehem residents voted Tuesday.

WOODBURY, CT — The Region 14 $34.13 million budget proposal was defeated at Tuesday's referendum by a margin of 900 to 815, the Republican-American reports. Woodbury residents voted to approve the spending plan, which hikes spending by 2.37 percent, but enough Bethlehem residents voted against the pact.

A second referendum will have to be held. No date has yet been selected.
