The student spoke at a recent Board of Education meeting.

WOODBURY/BETHLEHEM, CT — Nonnewaug High School senior Glenn Jameson is requesting that the Board of Education allow teachers and students to text with one another, the Republican-American reports.

Jameson said texting would allow for quicker and more efficient communication between students and teachers. He also noted that not every student checks their email, which would be resolved if texting was allowed. Currently, texting between students and staff is prohibited.
