Region 14, Teachers Agree To New Contract: Report
Arbitration had seemed inevitable but that changed quickly.
WOODBURY, CT — It appears Region 14 and its teachers have agreed to a new contract beginning with the 2019-20 school year, the Republican-American reports.
The contract details have not yet been released as the agreement is tentative, but teachers sought a pay increase while Region 14 sought to keep the increase to a minimum, the Rep-Am reports.
Earlier in January it appeared both sides were unable to negotiate a deal and arbitration seemed inevitable but that changed quickly apparently.
