Region 14 Teachers Secure Pay Increase In New Contract: Report
The new contract means both sides have avoided arbitration.
WOODBURY/BETHLEHEM, CT — Over the next three years, Region 14 teachers will receive an 8.6 percent pay increase, the Republican-American reports.
While the teachers received a pay hike in the contract, they will be paying more for health insurance. The district has 174 teachers and both sides said they are pleased that they were able to avoid arbitration though they concede the negotiations were difficult at times.
