Region 15 Names Volunteers of the Year
Eleven volunteers were recognized for their volunteer service to Region 15 schools at the Region 15 Board of Education meeting.

SOUTHBURY, CT— Eleven volunteers were recognized for their volunteer service to Region 15 schools at the Region 15 Board of Education Meeting on Monday, April 24th. Each year, district administrators and staff honor and recognize individuals for their contributions at each of the schools in Region 15.
The 2017 Volunteers of the Year are Marisa Amara from Pomperaug Elementary School; Jodi Wasserstein and Ana Jordan from Middlebury Elementary School; Jennifer Lynch and Lindsay Vlasak from Gainfield Elementary School; Brigitte Weinmann and Brittany Stoler from Long Meadow Elementary School; Amy Parrott and Anna Forino from Memorial Middle School; Cara Spath from Rochambeau Middle School; and Yvette Lomaro from Pomperaug High School.
“Through our partnership with parents, volunteers, and in particular our Volunteers of the Year, we are able to continue our mutual goal of making our school community one of continued academic excellence. We thank and commend our Volunteers of the Year for their selfless volunteerism and their valuable contributions. Together, we are a stronger Region for our children and students,” said Regina Lemerich Botsford, Superintendent of Region 15 Schools.

Volunteers from across the district will be recognized at the Region 15 PTO Dinner on Wednesday, April 26th at the Heritage Hotel, Southbury, CT.
