Regional School District 15 Welcomes Kindergartners

From Pomperaug Regional School District 15: Parents and guardians of children in Regional School District 15 who will start kindergarten in the 2017-18 school year, are requested to begin the Kindergarten Registration process now. In Connecticut, a child who is 5 years old before January 1, 2018 can register for Kindergarten.

To have your child included on the Incoming Kindergarten List for the 2017-18 school year, please call or return a completed Kindergarten Pre-Registration form to the appropriate elementary school as soon as possible in January. The Kindergarten Pre-Registration form, as well as additional information about the Kindergarten registration process, including what school your child will attend, school contact information, and additional registration forms, can be found on the Region 15 website. These forms are also available at the school’s main office.

A Parent Information Night for parents/guardians will be held on March 14th at each elementary school to discuss the Kindergarten curriculum, review the registration dates and times, and to introduce the Kindergarten teachers. Parents in attendance at the Parent Information Night on March 14th will have an opportunity to sign up for their registration appointment. Parents who are unable to attend this meeting are asked to contact the school after March 14th for a Kindergarten registration appointment. No Kindergarten registration appointments will be scheduled prior to the Parent Information Night on March 14th.
