Restaurant Owner Pitches New, Unique Gym in Woodbury: Report

WOODBURY, CT — Ray Harper, a Woodbury resident, who owns five Maggie McFly’s restaurants in the state, is seeking approval to open a fitness and training center next to Woodbury Pizza at 689 Main Street South, the Republican-American reports.

Harper said he got the idea because his employees often talk about needing a place to work out late at night. The gym would include personal trainers, who lease space, and they would offer several classes. The gym would also be open to the public. This gym is less about machines and more about weights and working with trainers.
