Run With the Rams 2nd Annual 5K Details Announced

The Rochambeau Middle School (RMS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is hosting its second annual Run With the Rams 5K, to promote a healthy lifestyle, build community, and support RMS. Proceeds from the event will be used to enhance technology at RMS and additional PTO initiatives to support student enrichment experiences.

Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the 5K race on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at Pomperaug High School, 234 Judd Road in Southbury. Interested participants can register to run, walk or volunteer at www.runwiththerams.com through race day or on the day of the race until 8:30 a.m. Race entry is $20 per person prior to the race, $25 per person on site.

“As we prepare for our second annual Run with the Rams 5K, we are proud of the strong partnership that we have with our RMS families and the greater Southbury and Middlebury communities,” said RMS Principal Michael Bernardi. “If last year’s great turnout was any indication, we are looking forward to a fun opportunity to promote health and wellness for our students, staff, parents, and greater school community.”

The PTO coordinators of the Run With the Rams 5K are Gabby Addison, Nikki Bernardi, and Jennifer Giles. Dr. Christopher Dembski designed the route.

“This is such a fun event for the kids and adults alike. Walk, run or jog and support this great cause,” said Mrs. Addison.
