*Letter from the Superintendent of Schools Joseph Olzacki concerning staffing changes in Region 14
Good morning Region 14,
I am writing to you today with mixed feelings to confirm rumors on some changes in the administration of Region 14. Last week was full of changes! On Thursday, I received notice from Principal Julie Luby that she has accepted a position as Assistant Superintendent with New Fairfield Public Schools. I will personally miss Ms. Luby as we have enjoyed an excellent working relationship as well as sharing the passion for our Region 14 students's successes.

Secondly, Mr. Bill Davenport - Director of NHS VoAG Program is retiring, but has accepted a once in a lifetime opportunity to work as the 4H Country Agent through the UCONN extension. Mr. Davenport has enjoyed a marvelous career in Region 14 for over 33 years. A true friend to all and committed to every aspect of past, present and future generations. I will personally miss him. We all wish him well and he will remain a big part of the FFA program. We should all be proud of Bill's achievements and we know he will be still heavily involved with Region14 VoAG and FFA. As part of the Board of Education meeting on June 17th, Mr. Davenport, VoAG instructors and I, will introduce our new VoAG leadership plan.
We have also received recent resignations from Arts Instructional Leader Ms. Amy Perras, Science/Math Instructional Leader, Dr. Thomas Nobili, and Mitchell Elementary School Principal Jodie Roden, and they will all be truly missed.

As we close this school 2018-19 school year and begin preparing for the 2019-20 school year, I look forward to more successes, more champions, more re-established friendships, and a continued vision that will use our increasing skills and our new curriculum to promote cooperation, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking in the successful preparation of our children for the future.
The best to you all, If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 203-263-4339.
Sincerely,
Dr. Olzack
