St. Teresa of Avila Church Holds Annual Family Picnic

After being postponed in September, the picnic was held on a beautifully sunny Sunday in October.

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church‘s Annual Family Picnic was held on Sunday, October 4, 2105 from noon until 5:00 PM at Hollow Park in Woodbury. The event had been rescheduled to weather.

A large number of parishoners came out to enjoy the beautiful weather together. They also enjoyed picnic food from 12-3 PM including grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage and chicken and all the fixings, cold salads and a huge selection of baked goods. Fresh popcorn was available all afternoon and children enjoyed playing in the bounce house. The parish nurse was doing blood pressure screenings and young ladies did some face painting. Live music was provided by the Naugatuck Community Band under the direction on Joel Knecht; the band played selections from their summer program.
