Starved Dog Found in Woodbury, Owner Charged: PD
The dog had lost nearly a third of its health weight, police said.

WOODBURY, CT — A Waterbury woman was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after her adopted dog was found suffering from malnutrition and had lost 20 pounds, according to police.
Anita Marie Lockhart-H0ward adopted Ruby in November 2016 from the Connecticut Human Society, according to the Republican-American. At the time Ruby was a healthy 57 pounds.
Woodbury residents reported a dog at their back door and Ruby was traced back by a microchip.
