String of Burglaries Continue in Woodbury

Two additional Woodbury residents report break-ins, thefts

Four similar burglaries have been reported in Woodbury in the past three weeks, all including the theft of parts or tools.

The latest in the string of burglaries was reported on Wednesday April 13 at approximately 6:07 p.m. when Ira Mandelbaum of 193 Weekeepeemee Road in Woodbury reported the wooden shed on his residence was burglarized. Inside the shed was a wood working shop and Mandelbaum reported that numerous tools, worth approximately $500 were stolen.

Woodbury Police are also investigating the theft of power tools, which include a Stihl chainsaw, backpack blower and an Echo weed trimmer from a residence on Lighthouse Road in Woodbury that was reported by a resident on Sunday April 10.

Dating back to late March two separate break-ins involving the theft of automotive parts and tools were reported to the Woodbury Police Department in four days.

The first incident was reported on Sunday March 27 at approximately 3:33 p.m. when Woodbury Resident Robert Stockwell noticed his garage on Peter Road had been broken into and tools had been stolen.

The second reported break-in came on Thursday March 31 when Burr A. Brooks of Waterbury discovered a quantity of automotive parts were removed from a storage trailer on Fox Road in Woodbury.
