This certainly doesn’t feel like June 1. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s, but the temperatures aren’t the real story.
The National Weather Service has issued both a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” and “Flash Flood Watch” for the entire state of Connecticut, which lasts until Tuesday at 8 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, periods of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will continue through Tuesday as several disturbances track into the area impacting Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.
“Heavy rain with rainfall rates as high as 2 to 3 inches per hour could cause flash flooding,” the weather service writes adding that up to 4 inches in certain areas is possible.

Up north in Hartford and Tolland counties the advisories are the same as the southern part of the state, but the details are slightly different.
The National Weather Service writes that “another round of heavy rainfall will approach Connecticut early this morning bringing an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain in an already saturated region. Expect a few more waves of heavy rainfall to impact the area tonight and tomorrow.”
Additionally, the heavy rainfall may produce flooding problems as well.
Once we get past Tuesday the weather is better and calmer as the sun returns Wednesday with highs near 70, more sun and around 70 on Thursday, and clouds are back on Friday with temps in the mid 70s, but as of right now no rain is forecast.
