Suspect Arrested In Armed Middlebury Robbery: Report

The robbery occurred in late March of this year.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — A 40-year-old Naugatuck man has been arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery of a Mobil gas station in Middlebury in March, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.

Andrew Mendillo, of Phyllis Drive, was charged with first-degree Robbery, Breach of Peace and sixth-degree Larceny on April 14. He was held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.

According to police, the suspect entered the Straits Turnpike gas station at about 10 p.m., brandishing a knife and demanding cash. He fled with less than $300.
