Top Region 14 Educator Departing District
School officials have announced an interim hire for the prominent position.

Letter from Dr. O regarding the Director of Special Services
Dear Parents/Guardians,

The purpose of this letter is to notify you that Ms. Christina Fensore, the current Director of Student Services will be leaving Region 14 Schools at the end of this month.
While the process of seeking a permanent replacement for the Director position is underway, Ms. Donna Marcinek will serve in the role of Interim Director of Student Services. Ms. Marcinek is a current Region 14 Special Education teacher who has worked across building levels and in various roles in our school district.

In addition to her work as Special Education teacher, Ms. Marcinek has previously served as Interim Director of Special Services, Coordinator of Extended School Year, Special Education Department Chairperson at Nonnewaug High School, as well as Special Services Coordinator and Team Leader (grades 6-12). While Ms. Marcinek is serving as Interim Director of Student Services, a substitute Special Education teacher will be assigned to fill her teaching role at Nonnewaug High School.
The parents and guardians of students who have Ms. Marcinek as a teacher and/or case manager will be notified via a separate communication regarding the transition to the substitute teacher. If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact me.
