Troop L: Woman Seriously Injured After Accidental Shooting [UPDATE]

A woman was seriously injured Thursday, Oct. 20, after an accidental shooting, according to Troop L police. She died the next day.

UPDATE: Michaelle Francis Hibbard died on Friday, Oct. 21, at Waterbury Hospital.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Police were called to 120 White Deer Rocks Rd., Woodbury, after receiving a medical call that Michaelle Francis Hibbard, 51, who resides at that address, incurred injury after an accidental shooting, according to Sgt. Joseph Roden of Troop L in Litchfield.

Roden said the call came in at approximately 3:15 p.m, today, Thursday, Oct. 20. He said King's injuries are substantial and she was transported to Waterbury Hospital.
