Veteran CT Police Officer Charged With DUI: Report

The incident occurred on April 1.

BRISTOL, CT — Plymouth Police Officer Kimberly Parrott, who smashed her SUV into a utility pole in Bristol on April 1, had a blood alcohol content level nearly three-times the legal limit, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.

Parrott was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, and police said she allegedly tried to flee the scene of the early morning crash before police arrived. A 14-year veteran of the department, Parrott was not injured in the 1:50 a.m. crash, and is currently off-duty while on vacation.

In addition to the criminal charge, the Plymouth department also has launched an internal investigation in the incident.
