Volunteer Firefighters Go To Fire Without Water: Report
Volunteer firefighters in Torrington responded to a fire without any water in a truck.

TORRINGTON, CT — The Torrington fire chief suggested cutting funding to a volunteer fire department that responded to a fire without any water in its tanker truck. The cut in funding would save a paid firefighter position.
The Torringford Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire March 27, according to the Republican-American.
A commissioner for the volunteer department said it was recommended the truck not store water in the tank during the winter.
