Voters Decide Region 14 School District Budget

Woodbury and Bethlehem residents took three swings at the referendum.

WOODBURY, CT - Local voters Tuesday approved the 2016-17 Region 14 schools budget, but it took three tries to finally get the job done.

The $33 million spending plan was shot down by voters on May 3 and May 18 when it was $33.1 million, but passed after the Board of Education lopped off $125,000, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.

Tuesday's final vote tally was 1,199 in favor and 1,043 against.
