The Watermark at East Hill Hosts November Discovery Luncheon
Seminar to provide first-hand account of retirement living
On Tuesday, November 4, The Watermark at East Hill will host its November Discovery Luncheon, a seminar on retirement living for adults ages 55 and older and their families. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the retirement community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.
The Discovery Luncheon will feature guest speaker Louise Forbes, who currently resides at The Watermark. Ms. Forbes was born and raised in Waterbury, and lived in the Brass City for 29 years before moving to Fort Myers, Florida. In addition to raising six children, Ms. Forbes worked as a child psychologist before retiring and eventually moving to The Watermark at East Hill.
During the Discovery Luncheon she will discuss why she made the decision to move to The Watermark and how her experience has unfolded since moving to the community in 2012.

“Choices about retirement living can be particularly nerve-wracking for seniors and their families,” said Rose Thomason, Sales Director at The Watermark. “Our Discovery Luncheons strive to provide an open discussion between potential residents and those who have already transitioned to living at The Watermark.”
Seminar attendees are invited to stay for lunch prepared by The Watermark’s chef, and can also arrange for a tour of the community.
