The Watermark at East Hill Invites Public to September Art Exhibit
New exhibit at The Watermark will feature the work of resident Audrey Namowitz

Southbury, CT – August 20, 2014 – On Saturday, September 6, The Watermark at East Hill will host a reception for its newest art exhibit by resident Audrey Namowitz. The event will be held at 3:00 at the senior living community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.
Entitled “Audrey Namowitz: Paintings, Prints & Drawings,” the collection of oil and acrylic paintings, lithographs, etchings and drawings represent her non-objective style of abstract expressionism.
“Audrey has been a resident at The Watermark for three years, and has remained an active participant in a number of art-related classes and exhibits held at the community,” said Melody Floyd, Community Life Director at The Watermark. “We hope our residents and guests will come down to support Audrey and view her amazing works of art.”
Namowitz has a B.A. from Hunter College in New York City and holds a Master’s Degree in Art and Art Education from Columbia University. She taught art to New York City students for a number of years, and has worked as a professional painter, book illustrator and toy designer. Prior to moving to The Watermark, Namowitz and her husband lived for more than 30 years at nearby Heritage Village.
