WEATHER UPDATE: 'Significant,' Long Duration Winter Storm to Hit Woodbury and Middlebury

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch beginning late tonight through late Monday.

There is the potential for 9 plus inches of snow accumulation in Woodbury and 4-6 inches of snow and sleet accumulation in Middlebury, according to the National Weather Service.

This will be a long duration winter storm event and driving will be hazardous during this time period.

Tonight A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sunday Snow and sleet likely, becoming all snow after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Sunday Night Snow. Low around 18. Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Monday Snow. High near 25. Northeast wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Monday Night Snow likely, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
