Wellspring Hires New Director of Outpatient Services

Jama Colegrove, LMFT, has joined Wellspring as our new Director of Outpatient Services and Assistant Clinical Director. In these roles, she will work collaboratively to integrate clinical programming across Wellspring’s breadth of services, and lead Wellspring’s Outpatient Counseling Services.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Jama has worked with children, teens, couples, adult individuals, and families who have experienced child trauma, attachment difficulties, issues of grief and loss, and complex family issues.

When asked to describe her counseling approach, Jama answered, “I seek to listen well and to honor each client's unique experiences and perspectives. I highly value therapeutic art, improvisational games, play therapy, sand tray work, and other expressive interventions. My approach is highly relational and is in harmony with the Wellspring philosophy.”

Jama earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut University and has worked in both private practice and in agencies serving youth and families. She and her husband live in Wethersfield, CT.
