What is going on? A Woodbury Public Hearing on 2 new Ordinances at 4:30 PM?
Another Power Grab by Butterly and Overton passing Ordinances at Selectmen's meeting without participation by Perkinson!
Woodbury Friends,
What is going on? Why schedule a Woodbury Public Hearing on two (2) New Ordinances at 4:30 PM? Would you say that Bill Butterly and Martin Overton are trying to limit public participation? These new ordinances passed at a Selectmen’s meeting at which Barbara Perkinson was not able to attend. One is for a Community and Economic Development Commission which would replace the present Woodbury Volunteer Business organization, establish a government commission/regulations and increase the cost/size of Woodbury’s bureaucracy. They also passed an ordinance establishing an Arts and Culture Commission, which would replace many volunteer organizations in Woodbury, with the same big government bureaucracy problems stated above.
We need to call the Selectman’ Office (203-263-2141) and demand that this Public Hearing be held at a time like 7:00 or 7:30 PM as past Public Hearings.

A email just received from Barbara Perkinson at 4;02 pm TODAY 09/24/2014:
“Art,
Saw your Facebook post on the time of the public hearings of the 2 proposed ordinances. I asked to have the time issue placed on the BOS agenda for this Thursday’s meeting. It is on the agenda.
I suggest you come and voice your opposition to this issue along with others who might object.
Thanks, Barbara”.
Please attend and/or call!
