What's On: Christmas Day Edition

Check out what's on TV this Christmas Day.

Elf (8 p.m., USA)

Elf starring Will Ferrell hasn't been around for 20 or 30 years like some Christmas classics but it's still a classic in my book. Watch Buddy the cotton-headed ninnymoggin make his way in and out of trouble in New York City around the holidays and your bound to have plenty of laughs along the way.

NBA Basketball (5 p.m., ABC)

Heat vs. Lakers will take place tonight in L.A. Watch Lebron and company take on Kobe and the Lakers for the first time this season. Many believe it could be a finals preview, maybe not people from Boston, but nonetheless it has the makings for a great Christmas Day match up. Let's hope we can hear Bill Walton say, "Throw it down big man!" at lease a few times.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (4:30 p.m. ABC Family)

Home Alone 2 starring childhood superstar Macaulay Culkin is a hit. Some argue the first Home Alone takes the cake, but I've always been a bigger fan of the sequel. Watch Kevin McAllister hop on a wrong plane to New York and experience just about as much trouble as he can frolicking the city and protecting his NYC abode.

A Christmas Story (24-7, TNT)

It's 24 hours of a Christmas Story, one of the best, enough said.
