Whiskers Pet Rescue announces Sweetheart Special to benefit animals

Whiskers Pet Rescue is proud to announce a Sweetheart Pet Portrait Special to benefit the animals! This is a great chance to get an early start on surprising your Valentine with a portrait of his or her purr-fect whiskered friend! Each portrait will be hand drawn by ShawnaLee Kwashnak in either graphite or charcoal and 10% of the proceeds will be donated directly to Whiskers Pet Rescue.

ShawnaLee, a Middlebury Mom, art instructor and Portrait artist, has been drawing and painting pets and people her entire life. Her works have been viewed throughout CT and have won numerous awards. She is a board member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists and a local Volunteer Horse Patrol Rider. ShawnaLee demonstrated painting in oils at Whiskers Pet Rescue’s annual benefit dinner last October and is looking forward to drawing more to help out Whiskers. Whiskers Pet Rescue is a no-kill animal rescue organization in Connecticut with adoption centers in both Southbury and Waterbury. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity made up entirely of hardworking volunteers committed to helping and caring for animals who have been abandoned, injured, abused, or neglected.
