Winner of NFSAW Gift Certificate announced!

Congratulations to Abigail Miranda for winning a Gift Certificate from Portraits by ShawnaLee at the New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society’s December Holiday Boutique!

Every December NFSAW holds a holiday boutique to raise funds. “The boutique is our largest fundraiser. We are having it on Dec 5th (2015) and everything is donated/made by our board, staff, and volunteers. We also have donated items for silent auctions and smaller items for raffles. All proceeds go towards the shelter and our rescue efforts”. Agi Pace from the NFSAW team.

A Graphite portrait of Abigail’s dog, Scout, was hand rendered by ShawnaLee. Scout is a vibrant blue heeler with remarkable fur and a zest for playing ball. Pound Posse Presents, a local TV show at studio SKYE XIII,, will host Portraits by ShawnaLee LIVE on their show airing from 7-7:30pm on January 23rd 2016! After the show is aired, it will be shared via utube.

Pound Posse Presents, hosted by Theodora DeBarbieri, is a local tv show dedicated to pets by promoting adoptable animals in municipal pounds, private shelters and foster homes in the Waterbury, CT area and beyond; They profile the people who work hard to improve the lives of animals and has local experts in their respective fields answer the questions that pet lovers want to ask.

The show airs live each week at 7 pm. For Comcast customers in Waterbury, Middlebury, Prospect, Wolcott, Plymouth and Terryville, tune in to Channel 13. For Frontier subscribers (formerly AT&T U~Verse), go to channel 99, wait for it to load and choose local Waterbury SKYE13. Frontier serves about 144 locations outside of the Waterbury area.

Portraits by ShawnaLee has been working hard to create loving portraits of dogs, cats and horses in Pencils, Charcoals, and Oils and is proud to be a Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) Partner. ShawnaLee’s Pet Portraiture has raised hundreds of dollars (over $2000 to date) in support of rescue animals in CT and North Carolina.
