Woman Charged with Embezzling over $200,000 From Woodbury Businesses has Case Continued

Deborah Cooper's pre-trial arrangements continued Tuesday

The Southbury woman accused of taking over $200,000 from Woodbury-area businesses she kept books for will have her case continued to May.

Pre-trial proceedings continued at Waterbury, Tuesday for Deborah Cooper, 43, of 1098 West Purchase Road, and will pick up again May 12.

Cooper was arrested in July on five counts of first degree larceny and two counts of second degree forgery.  Cooper has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Court document accuse Cooper of stealing $99,000 from Davis Companion Animal Hospital of Woodbury, $23,500 from Jason G. Stokes Masonry of Bethlehem, $47,000 from Stone Craft in Woodbury and  $40,000 from Bob Pabst Land Clearing Inc. of Woodbury.
