WOODBURY -- After a week that saw a record eight emergency calls in a single day, Woodbury Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan turned her hand to pancakes at the annual Mothers Day breakfast for townsfolk.Under her direction a dozen Woodbury firefighters cooked and served pancakes with bacon to a happy, all-generation crowd honoring moms on Sunday morning May 10th 2026 at department headquarters. Said Chief Morgan, “We’ve been averaging two calls a day . Eight call-outs on May 6th was a real record. It began at 2am with downed power lines. What a relief to relax and enjoy breakfast with our neighbors instead of waking them with flashing lights, sirens, and firehoses.”###
