Woodbury 24Jan2025—Woodbury Volunteer Firefighters knocked down a structural fire at 41 Washington Road Friday night January 23rd in freezing, fifteen degree weather. “No injuries were reported,” said Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan.”We responded promptly to the 8:22pm call out and got there in time to save the building as well.” She added that the cause of the fire in the 18th century structure was under standard investigation. When not fighting fires, Shaker is CEO of the Shaker Automotive Group. Abouzeid is an IT marketing consultant. The department’s response was Engine 4 and Rescue 3 from the Orenaug Company while Engine 5 and the brandnew Tanker 6 arrived from the Hotchkissville Company. The Ambulance Association also provided a standby ambulance and medical crew. In 2025, Woodbury Firefighters responded to 427 call-outs including 28 active fires. This year began with a home fire on New Year’s Eve. ###
