WOODBURY – Woodbury firefighters inspected all 32 dry hydrants in place around town last week, cleared brush for access, and made sure all locations are included in the department’s wifi call-out applications. The event was also used for training purposes to open hydrants for water flow in firefighting and emergency use.Chief Fire Engineer Don Harrisat left and Firefighter Roger Sicard used Engine 8 for access to the hydrants. Mr. Harris has a can of silicone-based spray in hand to lubricate the threads on the hydrant pipe. ###
