Woodbury Firefighters Dispatched to Smoke Coming From Home, Turns Out to be Dryer Vent

Dryer vent produced what looked like smoke

The Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to smoke coming from a home on the corner of Middle Road Turnpike and Hard Hill in Woodbury Wednesday.

Upon arrival in the area WVFD Car 1 and Car 2 found a light haze condition surrounding the home, which appeared to be smoke.

Upon further investigation the firefighters determined a dryer vent producing condensation up the side of the home created the haze.

“It did look like smoke, but, luckily it was nothing,” said Woodbury Fire Marshall Janet Morgan.

All units were returned to quarters following the investigation.
