Woodbury Historic District Commission to File Lawsuit Against Controversial Yard Sign Owner

Tom Arras has refused to remove a sign from in front of his Main Street South home.

WOODBURY, CT — With the town's cease-and-desist order being ignored, the Woodbury Historic District Commission will file a lawsuit against Main Street South homeowner Tom Arras, who has refused to remove the "WTF" sign he has on his front lawn.

The Waterbury Republican-American reports that the commission on Monday unanimously approved a measure to file the lawsuit. Arras has posted various signs on his lawn in recent months, all of which have been critical of First Selectman William Butterly Jr. and town officials.

Arras removed one sign, which read "Butterly, utterly utterly disappointing."
