Woodbury Home Invasion Thwarted by 13-Year-Old Girl: State Police

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Good Hill Road.

WOODBURY, CT — State police are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Woodbury Wednesday afternoon, which was thwarted when the would-be thief was surprised by the 13-year-old girl who lives in the home.

The incident occurred at about 1:20 p.m. at a residence on Good Hill Road, according to the Woodbury Resident Trooper's Office.

"Upon arrival a 13 year old female reported that a white male entered the residence through a rear door while she was home," wrote state police in a release. "The male suspect then exited the residence after a brief exchange about who lived at the residence with the juvenile."

Troopers quickly checked the residence to ensure the intruder was not inside, and they stated that the male suspect was last seen running west on Route 371 away from the residence.

A subsequent search of the area using the state police K9 team came up empty.

"The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair and facial hair," state police wrote. "The juvenile believed the suspect to be 20-40 years old."
