Every vehicle has a story. At the Sunday, June 3, Woodbury Lions Club's 34th annual antique auto show at , the owners were glad to tell the tales.
"I call it the '2nd Scoop'," said Tony Rubbo of his 1964 American LaFrance fire truck he purchased from the years ago. "The day I bought it, I was going through Middlebury and it kept on pulling to the right. It had to go to Carvel."

Now, when Rubbo gets the truck going, the neighborhood kids think he is going on another run for ice cream, he said with a smile.
The fire truck has truly been repurposed. Rubbo brings the truck to birthday parties, weddings and proms. Santa Claus has been known to arrive on the '2nd Scoop' at holiday festivities in December.

For Jeff Montville, his five window Ford Coupe holds secrets. The silhouette of Dick Tracy on the side of the car is the first indication that the car contains surprises.
Montville opened the trunk of the car to reveal a suitcase filled with Dick Tracy medals. He said children earned the medals by sending a note from their parents indicating they had done something helpful around the house or community.
"When I was little, my dad would read "Dick Tracy" to me," he said. "We used to get the newspaper twice a day then and it was like a continuation of the story."
Montville said his car is not the shiniest of the lot but has a lot of character: "1936 is the pinnacle of art deco."
All proceeds from the car show benefit the Woodbury Lions Club Scholarship Fund. To learn more, visit the Woodbury Lions Club website.
