Woodbury Man Arrested After Brief Police Chase
Woodbury man reported driving 124 mph on I-84.

According to police reports, a Woodbury man was arrested Tuesday after a brief police chase on I-84.
Ronald W. Ruesch, 20, of 229 Bacon Pond Road, was charged with reckless driving, reckless driving greater than 85 mph, disobeying an officer's signal and improper entry to a controlled access highway after he was spotted driving 124 mph on I-84 in Newtown at approximately 9:01 Tuesday.
When State Police Trooper Andrew Katrenya signaled with his lights and siren for him to pull over, Ruesch sped up and refused to stop, according to police reports.
Ruesch then drove through the median on the Exit 11 off-ramp, and re-entered I-84 east. He was stopped east of Exit 10.
Ruesch was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 13.
