Woodbury Motorists Warned to be Wary of Deer Collisions Among Rutting Season
Deer collisions are expected to increase during the mating season that runs from October to December.

Fourteen car collisions with deer were reported in Woodbury last year, the Republican-American reports.
According to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the breeding season for white-tailed deer, also known as rutting runs from late October through late December. Collisions are expected to increase during this time as male deer often roam during the rutting season.
Collisions with deer cost an average of $176,000 per year for one town.
