Woodbury Police Academy Applications Available
The sixth annual Woodbury Citizens Police Academy begins in September

Members of the Woodbury Police Department will conduct the sixth annual Woodbury Citizens Police Academy.
Classes will start Tuesday, Sept. 6 and end with graduation on Tues., Nov. 15, according to a press release from First Selectman Gerald Stomski.
Classes take place every Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Woodbury Senior Center, 265 Main St. South.

Light refreshments will be served.
Topics will include: DWI arrests with a demonstration, domestic violence issues, computer fraud and identity theft, home invasion and how to legally protest one's self, disaster planning for the family and major crimes and drugs in society.

Students will meet members of Woodbury Fire Department. Fire and Woodbury Volunteer Ambulance personnel will bring their equipment and host a hands-on demonstration on the proper use of a fire extinguisher.
Additionally, members of the Public Works Department will discuss and provide a presentation on pot holes, mailboxes, snow removal and winter parking bans.
