Woodbury Police Blotter: Burglaries and Vandalism Galore
Police are investigating numerous cases of stolen items around town.

School Vandalism
Woodbury Police are reportedly investigating vandalism that occurred on July 11 at Mitchell Elementary School at 14 School St. The vandalism included damage to cement planters and a large window smashed with pieces of cement. Anyone with any information on the incident is requested to contact the Woodbury Police Department.
Police are also investigating a window that was broken at the livestock and horse barn at Nonnewaug High School on the following day, July 12.

Man Arrested for Burglaries and Larcenies in Woodbury
On July 12, Woodbury Police received a report that Anthony Proiette, 25, of Waterbury was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on unrelated criminal matters. Woodbury officers were able to execute several warrants against Proiette while he was at the courthouse stemming from three charges of third degree burglary, one charge of fifth degree larceny and two charges of third degree larceny.

Computers Taken
Woodbury Police are reportedly investigating a burglary in which three computers were taken from a storage area at 39 Shermal Hill Rd. The case remains under investigation.
Chainsaws Gone
Woodbury Police are also reportedly investigating the theft of two Husqvarna chainsaws over the weekend of July 6. The chainsaws were taken from a site on Carmel Hill Rd S.
