Injuries Incurred After Rollover

Matthew Stewart, 16, of  901 Kettletown Rd. Southbury, was transported to Saint Mary's Hospital after a one-car rollover at approximately 2:43 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19.

Stewart was eastbound on Minortown Road when he lost control of the vehicle, slid off the westbound shoulder into a raised dirt shoulder, causing the car to roll onto its roof.

He was treated by Woodbury Fire Department and ambulance personnel, then transported to Saint Mary's Hospital.

Officer Tim Wright investigated.

 

Noise Complaint Results in Arrest

At approximately 8:38 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, police were called to 302 Tuttle Rd. for a noise complaint. They arrested Leslie Ann Torres, 39, of 302 Tuttle Rd., for interfering with an officer in a non-assaultive way and breach of peace.

She was released on a $1,500 bond and given a Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, court date.

Improper Turning Cited As Cause of Accident

Jamie Elavin, 24, of 103 Artillery Rd., Watertown, was given a warning for improper turning after a 12:10 a.m. one-car accident on Saturday, Dec. 24.

Elavin was westbound on Middle Road Turnpike nearing Rowley Road she swerved to avoid a deer and struck a rail on the side of the road.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Officer Alex Roberts investigated.

 

Car Hits Deer, Strikes Utility Pole

There were no reported injuries after Kaitlin Burke, 16, of 197 Church Hill Rd., hit a deer at approximately 7:56 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, on Brushy Hill Road, approximately 400 feet west of Quail Run Road.

After hitting the deer, Burke lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the right shoulder of the road, striking a utility pole.

The car sustained heavy damage to its left side but was driven from the scene. The utility pole sustained minor damage and a phone cable became dislodged and fell to the ground.

No action was taken against Burke, according to police. Officer Jody Rockhill investigated.

 

Disorderly Conduct Arrest

Kenny Martinez, 37, of 4 Beechwood Court, was arrested at approximately 5:52 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, on the following charges: disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree. He was issued a $5,000 bond and a

According to the report, police were called to 4 Beechwood Court for a domestic call pertaining to Kenny Martinez and Gissell Martinez, 34, of the same address.

Driver Warned For Unsafe Backing

Aaron Kalban, 51, of 12 Spring St., was given a warning for unsafe backing after hitting an unoccupied vehicle at approximately 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, on Spring Street.

According to police, a car belonging to Candice Krueger, 41, of 13 Spring St., was legally parked and unoccupied. Kalban was backing out of a private driveway and struck Krueger's car.

Krueger's car sustained moderate damage to the front end and hood area. Kalban's car sustained light damage to its rear bumper.
