Woodbury Police Blotter: Residents Urged to Lock Car Doors After Break-Ins
From the end of September through mid-October, thefts dominated the police log.

Burglary Arrest
Police reported that Jeremy Paczkoski, 24, of 321 Whittemore Rd., Middlebury, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 5, on the following charges: Burglary in the third degree and larceny in the third and fifth degree.
He was issued a Tuesday, Oct. 18, court date.

Officer George Romano was notified by Troop L that Paczkoski walked into the Troop L lobby to to turn himself in on three arrest warrants.
Evading Accident

An unoccupied parked vehicle belonging to Karl Lewis of 9 Winter Court, Woodbury, was struck in the parking lot of 125 Main St. North at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.
The vehicle that struck Lewis' vehicle left the scene. Officer Dana Lent investigated.
Police: Lock Car Doors at All Times
Three incidences of theft from vehicles were reported by police.
Sometime during the overnight hours of Thursday, Oct. 6, an unknown person entered several unlocked cars around Hollow Road. In one of the cars, loose change and a portable Sirius radio were taken. Another car was entered but nothing was reported missing.
Police are advising residents to lock their car doors day and night, especially if the car is left outside. Police are also asking residents to report any suspicious activity no matter the hour by calling 203-263-3400.
The cases are under investigation by Officer George Romano.
Another incident was reported on Sycamore Avenue on Thursday, Oct. 6. An unknown person entered a vehicle parked in a driveway between the hours of 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, and 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, and stole unspecified property. Officer Frans Dielemans investigated.
At 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, police reported a car was broken into and a $20 flashlight taken.
Items Stolen from Home
Sometime between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, an unknown person entered a home on Orchard Lane and removed unspecified personal items.
Route 6 Accident: One Sent to Hospital
Claire A. Tolmie, 80, of 74 Washington Rd., Woodbury, sustained injuries after a 4:59 p.m. two-car accident Saturday, Oct. 8, on Route 6.
Also involved was John Styranovski, 48, of 15 Squire St., Brookfield. He and Tolmie were southbound on Route 6.
Styranovski was driving in front of Tolmie. He came to a complete stop due to other stopped traffic. Tolmie rear-ended Styranovski's car, causing moderate damage to both vehicles.
Styranovski drove his car from the scene. Tolmie's car was towed due to the damage.
Police reported that Styranovski said he had a stick neck but refused treatment. Tolmie was transported to Waterbury Hospital.
She was issued an infraction for following too closely.
Disorderly Conduct Arrest
According to police, Anthony Curcio, 45, of 63 Quail Run Rd., was arrested at 9:11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, for disorderly conduct.
He was issued a $1,000 bond and a Tuesday, Oct. 11, court date.
Police received a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance between Curcio and wife Beatrice Torok, 44, of 63 Quail Run Rd.
