Woman Charged with Embezzling over $200,000 From Woodbury Businesses has Case Continued to January
Deborah Coopers new court date is Jan. 28.
The Southbury woman charged with embezzling over $200,000 from several Woodbury-area businesses will have her case continued to January, according to the court clerk.
Deborah Cooper, 43 of 1098 West Purchase Road is next due in court Jan. 28. Previously Cooper was supposed to appear on Dec. 20.
Cooper has been charged with three counts of first degree larceny and two counts of second degree forgery. According to court documents, she has plead Not Guilty to all the charges against her.

Cooper was arrested in July. The arrest warrant says she stole money from businesses she was keeping books for. Court document accuse Cooper of stealing $99,000 from Davis Companion Animal Hospital of Woodbury, $23,500 from Jason G. Stokes Masonry of Bethlehem, $47,000 from Stone Craft in Woodbury and $40,000 from Bob Pabst Land Clearing Inc. of Woodbury.
Davis Companion Animal Hospital has also filed a civil suit against Cooper.
