Woodbury Resident to Lead Local Home Care Business Expansion
Woodbury resident Sara Guillemette will lead FirstLight Home Care's service expansion project to include Litchfield and New Haven Counties.

FirstLight Home Care, an award-winning provider of non-medical home care in Fairfield County, today announced it is expanding to serve communities in Litchfield and New Haven Counties. Residents of both counties now have access to the variety of companion and personal care services FirstLight offers.

Newly hired as director of care services, Woodbury resident Sara Guillemette will lead the company’s expansion. Guillemette has deep roots in her local community. Ms. Guillemette’s role at FirstLight is to work closely with clients to assess and manage their care needs and to build lasting partnerships with area health care providers, senior centers and community organizations. She previously spearheaded business development for a Washington-based health center and a luxury resort community in Morris.

“As an area resident and through my work with seniors in the local community, I know that the need for home care services is growing,” shared Ms. Guillemette. “FirstLight’s services and its culture of care will have a great impact here.”
FirstLight serves area seniors, new mothers, those recovering from surgery and other adults in need of assistance. Their caregivers help with: medication reminders and management, personal hygiene and bathing, mobility assistance, and dementia care, as well as household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands. The Richards also currently operate FirstLight Home Care of Fairfield County.
