Woodbury Residents Save in New Contract With Public Works Union
Employees will receive raises, but they will also contribute more toward their health insurance costs.

The Woodbury Board of Selectmen approved a new three-year contract with its 9-member Department of Public Works Union, reports Rick Harrison, of the Republican-American.
Employees will receive a 1 percent raise in the first year, followed by 2 percent raises in the last two years. The raises will cost taxpayers $26,699, Harrison reports, but taxpayers will save $90,000 in health insurance contributions.
Salaries now start at $58,094.
