Woodbury Sued over Resident's Attempted Suicide

The lawsuit filed by Ralph Perry claims Police Officer Dana Lent did not take enough steps to prevent the incident.

WOODBURY, CT — The town and local Police Officer Dana Lent are being sued by resident Ralph Perry for allegedly not doing enough to stop Perry's attempted suicide just over two years ago, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.

Perry survived but suffered serious injuries when he shot himself on July 14, 2014. He had been battling depression following a series of issues, including job loss and health problems.

Lent was called to the Perry's home that day but did not emergency commit him to a hospital, despite there being reason to do so, the lawsuit claims.
