Woodbury Welcomes Back First Selectman William Butterly, Jr.

Butterly recently underwent heart surgery.

Woodbury, CT - William Butterly, Jr., Woodbury's First Selectman, returned to his post in full this week after being out several weeks following heart surgery.

Butterly had been checking in periodically and attending the occasional meeting since his May operation, and Selectman Barbara K. Perkinson had been serving temporarily as first selectman in his absence, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.

Perkinson has served in that capacity before, having filled in for the late Gerald D. Stomski, Woodbury's former first selectman, when he was away at a wedding.
